The location is excellent, just a short drive to trails. Noise from other rooms can be disturbing.

i had the most, shall we say, unique experience at Mountain Home Bed & Breakfast. the mattress felt like it was made for camping, and breakfast choices were limited to what felt like a cruel joke. a welcome gift would have been a nice touch, but alas, i just couldn't give a good review, no matter how hard i tried.

great stay but noise issues
The location is unbeatable, just steps away from the Appalachian Trail! The owners are genuinely warm and attentive, providing great recommendations for local hikes. I loved the outdoor patio with stunning mountain views, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning.
Occasional noise from neighboring rooms was quite distracting, especially during early breakfasts.

Charming, historic house with antique decor. spacious and comfortable room provided a cozy vibe.
The lack of sound insulation meant noise travels easily, making early breakfasts disruptive to sleeping in. Breakfast choices were limited to only two options, which felt inadequate compared to standard offerings in similar locales.

private bathroom with shower, beautiful 19th Century house, private locking room
I found the noise from other guests rather distracting during breakfast hours!!! The lack of choices for breakfast felt quite underwhelming, especially for the price paid!!! An effort to enhance soundproofing would truly help create a more enjoyable stay!!!

a charming place where you feel at home with homemade breakfasts and lovely hosts who get to know you
Scott and Lisa's hospitality transformed our stay into a memorable experience. The spacious second-floor room was beautifully appointed, and the charming breakfast atmosphere was enhanced by sharing stories with fellow hikers. We felt welcomed and cherished, making it hard to leave!

We had an awesome group vacation! The location is perfect for hiking the Appalachian Trail and exploring Shenandoah National Park. Lisa and Scott are fantastic hosts who offer great advice. Don't miss out on their delicious breakfast featuring homemade options. The outdoor patio is a nice spot to unwind after a day of adventures.
Just a heads up, the sound insulation isn't the best. We could hear activity from other rooms, especially during breakfast hours, which might make sleeping in tough.

The Family Room with Private Bathroom was super spacious and really comfy. Loved how clean and well-maintained everything was. The decor felt cozy and felt like being at home. Plus, the outdoor patio was a nice touch for some relaxation. A tiny downside was the noise from other rooms occasionally, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker.
